Chopta Chandrashila is a renowned trekking destination nestled in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The region is characterized by its lush meadows, dense forests, and a panoramic view of the majestic Himalayan peaks, including Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Chaukhamba. Chandrashila, which translates to "Moon Rock," is the summit of the trek and sits at an altitude of approximately 4,000 meters (13,123 feet) above sea level. The trek to Chandrashila begins from Chopta, passing through the sacred Tungnath Temple, which is the highest Shiva temple in the world.
